We have participated at only two shows in Germany this year because of the coronavirus situation. We are really happy that it worked out that well for us and Maddie got her last needed point for her two German champions, VDH & GRC (Club). We can’t forget to mention Grace, who has been registered to show for the first time since her litter in spring and she did a great job being placed 4th in a lovely open class!

Our French girl Maddie celebrated her 4th Birthday already. The life without Maddie wuld be a bit boring here as she is sometimes like a human, just talking is missing, haha! Besides Maddie we have also celebrated 1st Birthday of Maddie’s first litter, where I want to thank from bottom of my heart to all the owners for looking after our puppies Cliff, Carl, Callie, Carlyn that well! They all have grown into beautiful adults!

Grace worked so well last weekend even though she was one of the youngest ones there. Grace passed successfully one of the hardest hunting exam for retrievers in the Czech Republic and may now be called versatile hunting bitch qualified in the field, forest and water. A little working title „U“ can proudly stand behind her pedigree name. I can’t wait what Grace will achieve next year, we are very excited!

Last weekend belonged to working exams organized by KCHLS. I must say that I’m very proud breeder to have siblings from our very first litter registered there. Both worked extremely well during the weekend and we are very proud of them! It’s very important to us to know that they are real show-work golden retrievers, which is also one of the main goals in our breeding!

We have attended 20. Münsterlandschau in Beckum (GRC) and I must say we have really missed German club shows. It was great to show the dogs in Germany again, where the competition is always very high. We have shown three dogs from our team and all did a great job! However, the star of the day was Maddie’s son Cliff (sired by ShCh Billy Elliot de Ria Vela), who won his junior class with his very first junior title at the tender age of 10 months. Huge congratulations!

After being at few open shows, we have finally attended a National CAC Show in Mlada Boleslav. We didn’t expect such wonderful results at all! Olivia managed to win a lovely junior class out of 17 entries even she is totally out of coat now and Maddie moved to perfection (as always) by getting her another CAC title. We can’t forget to mention lovely Olivia’s sister Caya, who did great job and was placed 2nd with reserve CAC in her intermediate class. Way to go girls! We all are so proud of you!

Olivia has successfully passed hunting exam KZVP organized by Czech Retriever Club. She was placed second and she was awarded with the titles CACT & CCT. Therefore Olivia becomes at the tender age of 14 months candidate of Czech Work Champion and gained her International Working Certificate as well. We are absolutely speechless!

The biggest thanks goes to everyone for a lovely day, great company and last, but not least to our hunting trainer without whom we would never make it!

It’s been our dream for a very long time and now it’s time to make it official. Let us introduce the newest addition to our pack, lovely English setter puppy White Yumina Lofty, bred by Ewa Wójcik-Maksymiec in Poland. Ewa is one of the few breeders in Europe that breeds English setters with an English pedigree. The English pedigree was a very imporant thing for us and the reason why we chose our Zara as it’s not that common over here.

Now let’s see what the future holds for us. We are very excited!

We have just recieved the results from the all year long competition organized by the KCHLS and we can’t be happier. Maddie becomes for the second year in a row Top Show golden retriever bitch of the year 2019, even though the last time she was shown was back in July 2019 because of her maternal duties.

We can’t forget to mention our home bred girl Grace, who did really well at the shows as well as at the hunting exams. Grace gained a second place in a competition Top Show GR bitch of the year right after Maddie, then she managed to get a lovely 6th place in a competition Top Working GR bitch of the year and overall she was placed 7th from all retriever breeds in a competition Top Retriever of the year 2019.

We all are so very proud of our girls and we hope we will just keep going in these great results! Many thanks to all judges who thought so highly of Maddie and Grace, to all who shared our successes with us like our true friends and last but not least to our grooming team. Thank you all so much as it’s only you, who always make it so very special.

One of the greatest shows in the world we have ever been to, 519 golden retrievers entered this year. At this show even shortlist in a class is always a great success! Olivia was presented on the magical green carpet in Puppy & Junior classes and even she wasn’t placed, we made most of it! The suprise of the day was Iggy. He showed himself to perfection, moved like a dream and was placed 5th – VHC in Special working gundog. It was our very first placement at Crufts, so there were obviously so many tears of joy. Iggy was simply amazing and we all will cherich that moment in our hearts forever.
